Ingredients
9 items · serves 4- 2 cans (155 g each) sardines in tomato sauce
- 100 g misua (thin wheat noodles)
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 2 stalks spring onion (dahon ng sibuyas), chopped
- 1 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Contains: fish, wheat. Check product labels: brands differ.
Steps
5 steps- 1Heat the oil in a pot and saute the garlic, onion and tomato until soft.
- 2Add the sardines with their sauce and break them up gently.
- 3Pour in about a litre of water, bring to a boil and season with the fish sauce.
- 4Add the misua and cook for one to two minutes only, until soft.
- 5Season with pepper, scatter over the spring onion and serve hot straight away, as misua soaks up the soup as it stands.
