Open data
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Some of the supermarket prices on JuntoPlan come from Open Prices, a project by Open Food Facts where people share the prices they see on receipts and shelf labels. Open Prices is shared under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0, and so is the database JuntoPlan builds from it. You can download it below.
Download
- Prices (CSV): one row per price, with the store, the product as JuntoPlan names it, the price and currency, the pack size, the day it was seen, whether it was a loyalty-card price, and its Open Prices reference (
openprices:<id>). - Stores (CSV): the stores those prices are at, with their chain, town, postcode, coordinates and OpenStreetMap reference (
osm:<type>:<id>).
The files are UTF-8 and comma-separated. They grow with the daily import (prices seen within 90 days of being shared on Open Prices). A download can be up to an hour behind the app.
Where it comes from
- Prices: Open Prices by Open Food Facts contributors, under the ODbL.
- Store names and locations: © OpenStreetMap contributors, also under the ODbL, as Open Prices records them.
- What JuntoPlan adds: each price is matched to a store row and given an everyday product name and key, so prices can be compared store by store.
What is not in it
Nothing about JuntoPlan's users. The files never include prices people recorded in JuntoPlan (receipts, shelf labels, online), prices read from store websites, or anything from plans, lists or accounts.
Using the data
Under the ODbL you may copy, share and adapt the data, also commercially, as long as you:
- attribute it, for example: “Contains information from Open Prices (Open Food Facts), OpenStreetMap contributors and JuntoPlan, made available under the ODbL”;
- share a database you build from it under the ODbL too;
- keep it open: no technical restrictions on a copy you share.
